As much as I would like to stay home and ponder the meaning of my existence, I was in dire need of moisturizer.
This is my fifth jar of MAC Lightful Deep Ultramoisture Cream. So I guess I don't have to tell you how much I love it. To be honest I would love to switch to something a bit more affordable, but my skin is just so happy with this. I actually nabbed one of the last jars in the store, and thank goodness I was able to because this morning I scraped the very last drop off the bottom of the container. I'm keeping the jars so I can Back 2 Mac them - in exchange for 6 empty MAC containers you get a free lipstick how wonderful is that? The other two jars I emptied in Japan so I had to dispose of them tsk.
I ordered a jar of Bare Minerals Matte foundation in Golden Medium from Claude of barebeautyonline.com. I've been off the mineral makeup bandwagon for a loooong time, but this has been getting so many raves from non-mineral makeup enthusiasts so I wanted to give it a try. I used it today and I quite like it (the color match is great); however it gets really really itchy when I sweat, and the whole swirl-tap-buff thing is quite a pain especially if I'm in a hurry.
Hence another foundation purchase. This one I got in Medium. I haven't tried Stila foundations before, and I don't know why I haven't because they're very much yellow-based which is perfect. And Stila products in the Philippines are not marked up like crazy. Case in point: A bottle of NARS sheer glow is 40USD, but here it's 2450PHP. A bottle of Stila one-step foundation is 44USD, but here they're selling it for 1850PHP. These are being sold in the same store, which is why it is so baffling to me.
Anyway, even with less mark-up it's still on the pricey side, but, well, I really wanted to try it because NARS has not been doing it for me lately. Now I've done the rounds of drugstore foundation - Revlon Colorstay, Revlon Photoready, Maybelline Clear Smooth Minerals - and while they are quite satisfactory, the undertones are off, and they broke me out. So no more drugstore foundations for me.
I got this a couple of weeks ago because they were on sale. Aren't they pretty? They're Guelain Meteorites Perles. People kept raving about them so naturally I also wanted to try. I'm still not sure how I feel about them but, well, they're nice to look at.
I have a lot of people to thank for this one - Ninch for getting a good bargain, Rocky for managing my (now depleted) funds, and Paeng for bringing it home.
I tried looking for other perfumes but I'm afraid I'm going to be stuck with this for a while. It just smells so darn good!
Yet another connector ring from Forever21 (I know, I know, I can't stay away from that damn store).
Oh look, here's another one. This, I'm particularly fond of. There are several others I so wanted, but I can't find them in my size (I blame my thin bony fingers).
And now it's Monday again. The End.
