The Best Things in Life are Free

Or in this case, freebies. But first a lengthy backstory.

I've been on a lookout for a new foundation (yet again). Whereas with skincare I can stick to one product until I run out (unless it breaks me out, of course), I tend to have a love-hate relationship with almost all my makeup.

Case in point: for the longest time I used Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua, and then I decided I wanted more coverage so I moved on to Bourjouis Healthy Mix, and then I realized I wanted something more natural-looking so I used Bare Minerals Matte, but it kinda itches when the weather gets hot so I ended up using Fairy Drops BB Cream, but then my face would get greasy by noon. So there.

At this very moment my face is a bit more well-behaved and I've recently discovered a decent concealer for acne scars (special thanks to Anj):

Once you get over the really depressing packaging, the Cinema Secrets concealer palette is a Godsend.

Anyway, since I have a good concealer I figured a I'd get a face powder because using a liquid foundation would be overkill (and right now I don't fancy slapping too much product on my face). After a customary google search for best powder foundations I decided to get the Diorskin Nude Natural Glow Fresh Powder Makeup SPF10. A mouthful, I know. So today I dropped by the mall after work, got myself color-matched (030 Medium Beige) and went home with these:

Maybe because it's Thursday and there aren't too many customers or maybe the staff is just being really nice but I ended up with a Miss Dior Cherie perfume sample and a whole bunch of Diorsnow freebies (a serum, an emulsion, and a BB cream). Needless to say I left the store with a huge huge smile.

Now I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this works out because my budget cannot accommodate any more makeup purchases any time soon.
