The Morning After

It's quite an apt description for a bag that was the culmination of a particularly shitty week and relentless online stalking. But no walk of shame for this one.

I got it from Shopbop, and it was on my doorstep a mere two days after I placed the order. Insane. And did I mention international shipping is free? It's almost unheard of.

They also included some forms and instructions in case you aren't pleased with the item and wanted to return it. Which I most definitely won't, but it's always nice to have the option.

Meet my Morning After Clutch. Seriously, that's really what it's called. It's the Rebecca Minkoff Mini MAC.

It comes in a plethora of colors, but I wanted something I wouldn't grow tired of and would go with anything.

The hardware is almost a cross between gold and silver (it's described as light gold), which is perfect because silver looks off on me but straight up yellow gold is just too bling-y.

The zippers had these leather tassels which are reminiscent of Balenciaga motorcycle bags, and I'm not sure how I feel about them but I can always take them off.

I was concerned about the clasp on the front because it looks like it's going to be a bitch to undo. And it is. But thankfully it's only for the teensy front pocket and not the main compartment. It's actually the perfect space for storing valuables.

It's not the roomiest bag in the world, but it fits my Kindle 3G just fine. It's such a relief because if I was going to use this for travel the Kindle has to go in.

I'd have to downsize my wallet, though, because if I put that Kate Spade in, nothing else is going to fit.

Oh, and the best part? You can wear it three ways - without the strap as a clutch, with the strap full-length as a cross-body bag, and with the chains doubled up as a shoulder bag.

And because it's the morning after, there's a number to call ;)

Nice touch, yes?
