Friday Favorites: Alterna Bamboo Smooth Kendi Oil Mist

So I ran out of my Kerastase Ciment Thermique, and it seems like it has disappeared from store shelves everywhere. My hunt for alternatives led me to Sephora, where I found this:

I don't know about you, but when I see "Kendi" I think Kendimint - that chocolate-filled mint kendi candy of my youth

I don't really know what Kendi oil is but it's supposed to reduce frizz. I'm actually wary of applying oils into my hair because it's very fine and limp, but I read somewhere that oil-based heat protectants are better than alcohol-laden water-based ones so I thought I'd give this a try.

And you know what? It's actually kind of amazing. I feel like I've been on a good product streak lately, with the body butter and lippies and now this.

I applied a few spritzes to towel-dried hair before blasting it with a blowdryer, and then a couple more spritzes before flat-ironing my waves away (hair torture, I know). The scent is nice and clean, nothing overpowering. Now, maybe this is just me, but I swear my drying time was significantly shorter. And I could not stop touching my hair afterwards - it was so soft! Best of all, it did not turn into a greasy mess throughout the day. Pleased is an understatement.

Oh, and did I mention it's cheaper than Kerastase? It would probably last longer too, from the looks of it. Score :D
